Removing throttle cable & choke on 86 Big Red

How do you remove the throttle cable & choke cable from the carburetor ??

Undo the plastic nut carefully and pull the choke barrel out. If it takes more than what you can do by hand then soak it in some pen lube and try to pull on it with some vise grips. For the throttle cable you will first need to remove the plastic cover of the throttle assembly. Be careful not to strip the heads on the screws. I replaced mine with some stainless Allen type bolts. Manually engage the throttle and remove the cable.
