Yamaha blaster 250r yfs250r 1975 build need some ignition wiring help

Ok it's not really a yfs250r that's not a real bike but what I do have is a 1991 yamaha blaster frame with a 2003 rear swing arm and the BEST PART I have a hard to find 1973-1975 yamaha DT250 2 stroke motor cycle engine 5 gears and top speed about 80mph stock gearing on the road of coarse. I received this odd pair in a craigslist trade I thought it was a yfs200 engine but it's not so I'm making the best of it. I don't have the wiring harness for the engine but I do have the ignition coil but I do know if it would run from points to ignition coil so that's where I need the advise. Iv looked at a diagram for the ignition wiring but it doesn't have a cdi or spark condenser on the diagram so I think it might be behind the fly wheel but I won't. Any advise on the dt250 ignition points or where the spark condenser is looked. I might end up chopping the blaster frame into a trike but I need to get it running before I even begin planing any further

DT's don't have CDI's. They use an ignition "block". Just a rail that all the wires go into
too many bikes to count. too little time on hand.

you sure about that as I pulled that link directly from a yamaha dealer micro fiche. It is very possible you are right but I am curious why the dealer lists one in the electrical system.

I see the old style is a 20$ rectifier assembly which is still available through yamaha, detail 29

Both DT250's that I had didn't have CDI's. But they were also running Motoplat ignition setups and idk if that's stock or not for them now,, so I could be wrong

Didn't cdi's take the place of points? If they have points, they probably don't have a cdi. Also after looking at the link, right below the cdi picture it says "DT400b/400c".

75 DT250's run points, no CDI. Points and condenser are behind the rotor (flywheel). And Motoplats were definitely not oem, they are a Spanish made magneto, common retrofit on old bikes. Here's the oem breakdown of the magneto/stator/ breaker plate, or whatever else you can think of to call it.

I figured it wasn't stock for them but I know my Penton's came stock with Motoplat's. So I wasn't sure. I'm not super knowledgable about Yamaha DT's
