1982 250R rebuilt, how to? breakin

Just got my jug bored and honed.. new piston rings etc..

What is the proper procedure to break it in? ive heard of heat stages bla bla..

suggestions please

me personally i heat staged my banshee, and 85r after fresh top ends. both bikes i started them, and let them idle for about 10 minutes. which allows everything to slowly come up to temp and expand,contract easily instead of being forced. shut them off, and let cool till pipes were cool enough to touch, then started back up, let run for 25 mins. then shut off and cool again. then for the first tank of fuel i would go easy on it, trying not to hit powerband. basically dog it around a little while. let cool again, then i would let them rip. both bikes are still running perfect to this day. but thats just my personal preference
