I replaced my Big Red carb with a new one from Wincycles on eBay, and now my throttle cable has a lot a slack in it. Is there any think I could do to take up slack in it?![]()

there is a adjustment nut where the cable mounts to the carb and also the throttle has one under the rubber cover where the cable comes out
SO if I remove the carb & lengthen the threads @ the carb it should tighten the cable ? I adjusted the one under the boot but it made no difference, so maybe if I try it at the carb & boot it will take up the slack.
Thanks honda4h I took the carb back off & shortened the cable @ the carb & adj. @the throttle an got most of the slack out. Runs great now !!!![]()
Good- you got it adjusted at both ends... Dont worry about a little slack left-its actually supposed to have some. The Honda Manual states : 1/8''-1/4'' free play for this model.
