Tri Z Dune Build
I've been collecting parts for my Tri Z for a while and decided to build a dune machine. I've never been to the dunes so I may have some questions. I can't remember the make of my swing arm but it's a +10 chromoly with a banshee round carrier.
The carrier, +2 axle, stainless rear brake cable, and sliders are new from EBay. I'm curious if the axle is wide enough using the +10 swing arm in the dunes? The axle was just slightly over 120.00 shipped so I had to get it.
My 85 Tri Z was completely rebuilt a few years ago, new bearings everywhere, p/c everything, lots of aftermarket parts. It's on the first overbore, using the Dynoport Pipe. I picked up an aluminum top mount tank and removed the old one.
I still need to buy a new chain, actually I need to buy several larger chains for other builds. This is another first for me... Where can I buy extra long chain? I've picked up a +6 and a +2 swing arms for other trikes.

Heres a few pics so far:

That's a Loooooooooooong swingarm. Are you just going to drag it? Anything over 4" I'm not a fan of the handling but some prefer 6". I think anything over that is going to make it not a play bike and going to be a drag racer(My opinion).. Dunes are amazingly fun and you won't regret building a bike just for the dunes! Good looking bikes.
