1985 250 es question

Hi all

I am curious if anyone knows what the grinding noise could be?
Is it possible it's my brakes rubbing?

Also

When ever I let my trike go down my ramp from my truck in reverse .. It clicks?!?!?
But never clicks when reversing elsewhere.

Sounds like axle bearings, when is the last time you removed the axle and greased the splines.

The trike is new to me ...

Should I replace the axel bearings ?

Also what are splines ?

Well let's start with the rear differential, have you checked the oil in it?

Yes oil has been changed to pennzoil 80w 90

I now have taken off the tires on the trike..
Seems to be a bit of knocking when I rotate the shaft back and forth ..

From what I see , the bearings seem fine ..

I think it might be the drive train gears knocking around ..
