I have a 85 & 86 Big Red and both clank when shifting. Seems like the rpm's don't fall off fast enough to shift smoothly. Anyone have ideas to get a smooth & quite shift ??

I don't know about a clank but all bikes make noise when they shift. But if they are making funny noises. drain the oil and pull the right side cover off to inspect the transmission.

Yea try and a just the clutch I seem to remember we had to do this to my cousins 250sx after the engine was rebuilt as it was shifting hard.

well I checked clutch adj. its ok ,still shifts like rpm's are not dropping off in between shifts .
