I have 2 85 tri-z's one has the factory motor, all redone, bike is basically complete. I started working on the second engine which was out of a YZ 250. Tri-z Jug piston and all fit right on. The issue I have now is the YZ crank is smaller on the flywheel side than a tri-z crank. I want to have lights on this bike so a standard YZ stator is not going to work. What other bike had a lighting system I can use instead of splitting the cases and replacing a crank? I am curious to put the 2 bikes head to head and see how different the yz gearing is internally, but they are mainly restor and flip bikes, so I don't want to keep cost down some. PVL doesn't offer a lighted system, plus it wouldn't fit. (smaller crank stator side)
