I have done this swap on 2 of my 82 250R's. seems like i remember starting off at a 150 main to be safe and working back to a 145. its going to depend on altitude and level of modifications. my machines are aftermarket and modified from air filter all the way to the exhaust tip and i only had go slightly bigger over stock. It will all depend on your setup though. Remember, a few $5 jets, a handful of new plugs, and 30min of your time will ALWAYS be cheaper than a new top end.
