1989 250sx?

So this is my first post on 3WHEELERWORLD. I have followed and looked and found answers here for some time but never felt the need to post before. Anyway, there's a local guy here (Albuquerque) posting a 250SX on CL that he claims is a 1989 model. He says he's had three of them that were 89s. I just sent him an email "FYI...They stopped making those in 85', so you can't have an 89". I know the details of the 86 and 87 models "but an 89"? This eventually turned into a cyber argument with profane name throwing until I decided to let him just have the last word. "Good luck trying to sell your '89 250SX' with tape on the seat and bald front tire for $4,000, anyway!" I have no intention of trying to further prove him wrong but has anyone ever heard of an 89 250SX before?

Ya it is in pretty good shape...not $4,000 good but good none the less...front tire's seen better days and there's tape on the seat so it's hard to be asking that kind of money for it. I think the guy's on crack though

So your first post here is to complain about someone's CL ad. And then give that person false information because they quit making the sx in '85. Good job. Ever see an '86 or '87 sx, evidently not. If you don't like his price or info, don't buy it or claim to be the know it all about something that you DON'T know about. I woulda cyber kicked you in the sack for your wonderful info
