Im thinking about getting on off a 250 big red and put on my sx. Its in good shape with no rust. I heard some people say they fit but the big red one is longer...True or false? Thanks

Went and looked at mine . The bolt pattern between to two looks to be the same . Lower shock mounting is different and a cut out is provided in the ES hitch while the SX has a solid top on it . I would guess that the ES hitch would bolt up to the SX , but not the other way around .

My 85 250sx has a 250es hitch on it. Fits it fine.

The es hitch bolts up fine, but is a tad longer, and does have a slightly different downward angle to it as compared to an sx hitch.

They are not the same . The Es will fit the SX , the SX will not fit the ES due to the location of the lower shock mount on the ES .
