84 200x rear shock absorber rebuild, buy new ,or buy used?
The other day got my project bike 200x to test riding specs. The bike of coarse still needs fine tuning. I have noticed alot before if i sat on the bike for a while it would be about 2 inches lower and would take about a minute at times to return to its original position. But when i rode it for about 20 minutes i parked the bike again to put it away and went inside for about an hour and a half and noticed the bike was lower than my other bike about 2 inches or so. So i am thinking the suspension is blown or heavily worn. I have tried the suspension on the 4 adjusting positions and doesnt help it.
My question is, should i take it to a professional for a rebuild or just buy a used assembly? If anyone has one worth using pm me. My last resort would be buying a new assembly since im only a teenager that has a tight budget at times. Also if you can attch a link that would help me out a little more that would be great. Oh thats great. But is it mailed recharged or is that something i would have to go and do through another company?

You send him the shock and he rebuilds it to your ridding style and weight. Its a great investment.

Give George at Suspension101 in Cali a call, I sent him my rear shock for my 300R and had him do a total rebuild to withstand 360lbs. The Rebuild, Revalve, and stiffer Eibach Spring for 380$ shipped back to CT. Ill tell you from the dealings I have had with George he will have me as a customer for life truly a pleasure to do business with. I no there are a handful of members here that have had work done by Suspension101 I no myself, Manbearpig, and JasonB are happy customers.

These two sources sound great I'll see when i can afford my rebuild. Hopefully bonus this year is beafy. Just hoping to be riding it by february. ThNks for your recomendations.

I no the one of the more important things George asked me about was to be sure there was no pitting or rust on the shaft as that could be a game changer on the Price.... he wanted me to check that out before I even sent him my shock. Goodluck man
