4 stroke carb overflow drain question. 225dx. Calling Carb experts.

Is it normal for a very small amount of fuel to come out of the overflow when rocking the bike. I adjusted the float level this weekend per the manual and it calls for a fuel level of 2-3mm just below the top of the bowl. So the level is very close to the top. I noticed if I leave the fuel on the drain tube is wet at the end, nothing drips out, but if I shake the bike back and forth a very small amount will come out. Is this normal. Everything in the carb has been changed out including the float needle valve.

Plug is absolutely perfect (slight brownish tint) and she runs like a brand new bike.

If not normal, anything I can look for.

Its a 1985 225dx. The carburetor has been completely cleaned and rebuild with all new parts.

Maybe try adjusting it just a tad lower. I'm not sure. What model is it? My vm22 on my 200 has never had any issues and all I did was clean it and free the seized choke. If it runs fine and isnt pouring out then I dont think that you really need to anything. But none of my machines have this problem.

I figured out what is wrong and I have to thank Muthey for the info as I found it in a previous post. On the float needle seat there is an oring and mine is cracked. I overlooked this part when cleaning the carb so it sat in the cleaner.
