    The $300 200x

    2 weeks ago I bought a 86 200x with a "blown motor"

    It turned over with no noises or anything - spark plug was missing tho.

    Buy a plug and toss it in - still kicks super easy, well I guess Its blown up like the guy said it was.... Oh well I guess I'll screw with it when I put together a couple 70's

    The screw that holds the butterfly fell out when it was warming up is what happened. It didnt hurt the piston, just bent the valve is all, hence why there is no compression.


    Easy fix... If I dont screw up and over do it. Im gonna port the head on it and do cheap stuff. I do wanna higher compression piston too.... We'll see how cheap I can make this project w/o overdoing it.

    I cant believe it looks like it was just 1 hit and done, lucky!...I had this happen before and had a bunch of punch marks in the head and on the piston

    Mine is also 86 200x and it did the same thing. I shut it one night and and came out the next morning. Went to kick it and it started and was clunking then seized. It turns out it's was the same screw as yours and it didn't do any damage to mine. Got lucky

    This one was warming up for a ride. The guy got on it and went to start going and it just died and never restarted. This was last february.

    The guy kept saying its blown up etc etc. How can it blow up idling? Well now I know lol......
