    350x shock on 250es

My '85 250es has a 200x front which I love. I have recently rebuilt the forks with progressive springs. After much thread research I came to the conclusion that I would like an upgraded suspension that could bolt up with little modification to the trike. My first shot was a '81 250r. Although it was a direct up it was too short and would have needed some sort of spacer. Last week I found one that I believed would work. Picked up a shock that I believe came off of a '85 350x. Had to modify the shock mount width a bit but after some grinding it bolted up. At first it was very firm, after adjusting the preload it seems to be a promising candidate. It is a firm shock but the damping is awesome. It also added a 1" lift which was as much as I would go because I don't want to damage any of the drivetrain. All in all, I think this may be a permanent upgrade for me.
