Anyone have a picture of these 250R tank scoops?

The time must have been 1983-84 bare with me I was 10-11 years old, so remembering 30 years ago might be cloudy.

There was a article in one of the 3 wheeler magazines that have 1983 or 84 Honda 250R, I think it was all blue with lots of chrome and it was a dune bike. It had some very different gas tank scoops in the story it said they were off a Kawasaki KLR600, black in color. I have read pretty much every page on this forum going back to 2002 or 2003? and did not see any pics or info on this mod or trike.
I looked online and they looked like 1986 Kawasaki KLR600 shrouds

Anyone have info, pics or remember this article??? I am going insane!

Those are very similar to the MTX200 shrouds that were used on the HRC 200R bike.

Are you sure it was in a trike mag? I have a # of old car and the van mags and they did stories on custom trikes back in the day. I suppose you could just about make any thing fit as long as they are bigger than oem to start with. I do think I saw that trike though I can try to find the article.
Rebuilding and riding trikes everyday and lovin every minute.

I can't remember & its driving me nuts!
Pipeline Triker you may be right I read 3 wheeler, 3X4 wheel action, Dirtwheels

I was thinking it was black & white print, maybe- ATV/ATC news, cycle news? or It could have been in 4 Wheeler/Offroad mag?

I would think they would have been trimmed up by the tank & new holes were probably drilled.

It gave the trike that Liquid cooled shroud look. I think they kept the shrouds black, but I think the trike was blue with lots of chrome, maybe a custom velour seat cover.
I wanted to do the mod on our 1984 300R, but my father always liked the "sleeper look" So when you smoked a Banshee or Quadzilla up Olds they would stop & look for a NOS bottle shake their head and limp back to camp in shame.

Anyway I have searched the internet for years with no luck.
