    bearing kit? :o

anybody ever here of a bearing kit for rebuilding the whole shaft o a 85 250es? one of my bearings broke because of water coming in and while i'm there i'm going to change all the bearings but like, most of my bearings are finished and broken so i don't know the number now can i get it sized for a new one it's too damaged.. i'm trying to look through my service manual for all the bearing numbers but it's not all that helpful.. if anybody knows the bearing numbers and such needed for EVERY bearing in shaft (like where it connects at the wheels) that'd be awesome or just a bearing kit thanks

If you are looking for the differential bearings you can get kits on eBay.This past spring i had to rebuild the differential on an 86 250sx i got. They were so bad that the pinion gear was completely shredded. Also had to rebuild the differential on a 225DX i got this summer. They are not to bad to do, and another member has a complete tutorial on how to do it on here.

What type of kit did you purchase? A link (if you don't mind of course) would be awesome. I'll go ahead and look for some but i'd like one that somebody actually tried with an opinion on it! It's not the hardest job in the world but it's still a long process and very dirty one D: At least it got me to change my rear breaks and i'll get to grease everything nice and new.

When i bought them, i got the All Balls kit for my SX, and a generic kit for the DX. The All Balls kits are more pricey, but are open so the fluid can go through them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALL-BALLS-RE...01dc84&vxp=mtr
I also found this other kit that appears to be open for a much cheaper price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-ATC250...95c16a&vxp=mtr
So it would really be up to you which route you want to go. You will also need one of these tools to get the nut out if the top, which holds the bearing and pinion shaft in. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-ATC250...95c16a&vxp=mtr

Newbie here! Just picked up a 85' KLT 160 real good shape! Runs like a top, but my ?? Is this.
I have a "clicking" or more like "snapping" when in gear and rolling, when I turn from side to side.
It's my impression that when turning, it binds the rear end?? Does the KLT have a differential I assume??
I stopped riding it until I can gets some info. Sure don't want to do more damage if it's not to late!
Thanks in advance for any in sight!!! Chris
