The OEM ones bring big money but they are old and weak in my opinion.
My first ride with 18" tires I hit a rock on the brake rotor and decided 18's werent for me and my riding areas.
I think the guy who makes the rear fender braces and headlight brackets in 3ww shop made skid plates at on time too. Shaun? SBLT500R?

Doesnt PRM make a skid plate for the 86-87 Tecate?
I would love to find a skid plate that fits my +2" Cal Fab. Been looking for years. Brapp is the last person I saw who came across one. Someone with a shop could make good money making good quality skid plates for our trikes. Wanted a nice one for my 86 200X also I think PRM only did 83-85>?
sblt500r hooked me up with a SWEET Rear Fender Brace for my 84-85 Tecate. If he still making stuff I would recommend his work as elite!

My friend bought a skid plate for his T3 off a guy named Shaun I think that what his name was, had a web site www.sbdesigns.everything2stroke.com but the web site doesn't come up, any clues anybody?

That is Shawn Bosch (sblt500r) I know he wanted to take a break after his father passed but I thought he was making parts again since then. I have one of his skid plates and could copy it but I would only do that with his blessing. He also made them for the calfab at one point and had a couple in stock the last I knew. I had his phone number at one point but that was a couple years and phones ago. I will see if I can find it because I would like some of his parts aswell.

Wish there was more of an aftermarket for the Gen 1 & 2 green machines too! I wound up welding in some strap steel on my '85. Yes I did have to be careful not to blow through the original thin stock.
