1984 Honda 200s: Is it worth the money?

I found a 200s for $300 that looks to be in ok shape, I don't know much about hondas and I'm looking for some help.

He said it ran a month ago but now won't run. It might need a carb cleaning etc. You know the typical lies they always tell you. So is it worth $300? If I bought it, got it running well, cleaned it up and painted a few things how much do you think it would be worth?

    Thanks for any help!

I WOULD SAY YES!!! The tires seem to be in good shape as well as the plastics.... Check the gas tank.... is there lots of rust? There is this stuff called Kreem which is a gas tank restoral product that you can purchase that makes the inside of the tanks like NEW.... a good carb cleaning and an overall cleaning... touch up the paint.... etc... and down here in South GA. that would make it a $500-$800 bike. Nice racks and foot guards too!

I would also say go for it, the racks and footguards are all accessories so from that aspect your already off to a awesome start. If the fenders aren't cracked that's another plus. I see 200s's on craigslist in my area all day long for 400-600 in running condition and certainly not looking the greatest.....some not even in running condition. I wouldn't feel to bad about the 300 for that trike. I love my 84 200s for zippin around the yard / woods outback but ill tell ya when I want to go for a real ride I switch it up to something with rear suspension...... that's my only grip with the 200s otherwise it goes threw everything I can throw at it.

very much worth it. It is worth a ton more than $300. that would sell in my area for around $800-$900

It looks good to me and it is a Honda they run forever. A bike in that shape probably only need routine maintenance like oil change, carb cleaned, new air filter, new spark plug ETC. 300 is a very good price.

Nice trike for the money, but being that it isn't running I would still haggle with the guy on the price and bring cash. You should get it to the house for 250 or less.
