There are plenty of little bolts in there that should have loctite and I have seen plenty come loose, break and or fall out.
I'd have to look at 1 of my spare motors to see exactly what fell out but it sounds like one of the small clamps with a bolt that hold a bearings outer cage into the case?
Some motors have 2 bolts and a big "C" that holds in a trans bearing.
I can get in there by removing the kickstarter or the 3 bolts on the output shaft but that's a tricky one!!
