I bought the new China carb, put it on, and no difference. Guess I'll try the intake manifold gaskets next. Was wondering if I maybe need a bigger main jet. The stock Keihin carb has an 82 main jet, and the China carb has an 85. Not sure what size I'd need to go to.

Ok, here's the update. Put the new China carb on it and no difference. Replaced the intake manifold (aluminum tube) gaskets at the carb and head and no difference. I cut them out of fiber gasket sheet material from Napa...did'nt think that would be any different than the Honda ones. Then I lowered the needle clip to the bottom, and that made the 1st noticeable difference. It runs good up through mid range, but still seems fuel starved at the top end. Thinking maybe I need a bigger main jet but not sure why a 110 would need bigger than the 85 that's in there? The thing seems to start and run good until full on throttle, then it wants to stall. There's got to be a way to get this to run better, but I'm running out of ideas...any help would be appreciated - thanks.

Check to make sure all the intake tubes are connected. Even the one that goes into the airbox ( not the one from the air box to carb ). I had one that the tube in the frame had come loose. Ran with the choke on but would die without. Hooked the tube up and it ran like it was brand new.

Yea, I've messed with the air mix screw. Thing it doesn't seem to do as in the video is when I'm turning mine out, the idle never drops down. In other words, counterclockwise doesn't do anything. Same as on the old carb cleaned, and the new carb.

As far as I can tell by looking at it with a flashlight, it appears to be hooked up. Not sure how to get at that thing without dropping the engine.

If it's running good except for wot, then I would check float bowl level and confirm that The fuel line and petcock are allowing enough fuel to flow.

Finally! Intake tube inside of frame had come loose. I hadn't checked this carefully enough. Put it back together and now she runs good. These things have a mighty finicky intake system. Thanks for everyone's help!

Yes these trikes are very funny about a lot of things. If you don't have something just right it will throw everything off.
