What does the spark plug look like? Is is black, clean looking, all wet, etc? When it idles, how does it sound when you hit the throttle? Does it try to cut out? Backfire? Just trying to get a bit more info on it.

Either you've got a bad batch of spark plugs or it's an ignition issue, sounds like to me. Maybe some one else has got a better idea.

If you think you can do it unscrew the the main jet in the carb one turn, its black so that means it giving it to much fuel for the air and that just cakes everything with unburnt fuel (carbon). Ive got a 1982 200e

Oh and if you want to clean the plugs just put the top of the plug in a vise or a vise grips (just something to hold it gets hot) and take a torch and just burn the carbon off the plug. Its dang easy
