Good luck I hope this isn't a scam. I swear I saw one of your pics in the first post on NYC/New Haven craigslist and I never got a reply this was a couple months back ad was up over a week and no way they do not sell in a day or two. I assume the ad was bogus and just up to get people excited or to collect emails and phone numbers for future scams.
Considering $3800 is an asking price for one clean 3rd gen 250R let alone three if you pull this off you are a very lucky person. Post pics after you get em home, keeping my fingers crossed for ya.
Here is one on C'list today in NJ asking $4500
Selling my 1985 Honda Atc250r. It is in outstanding condition. This trike has spent it's entire life in sunny and dry Arizona and will come with an Arizona title. You simply just can't find bikes in this condition on the east coast. This atc is all OEM with the exception of the air filter. The original air filter was actually still on the bike but was starting to fall apart so i replaced it. NO cracks in the OEM front and rear fenders as well as the headlight bezel. Seat is very nice with no rips. The axle still has some of the original gold zinc plating on it which is amazing. This bike is a true survivor and you won't find a nicer bike. Everything works as it should on this bike. I have other trikes for sale as well. Any questions call Ken at 973-479-7352

Been there done that……………….In 07 I drove an 18hr round trip to Chicago and back to pick up 3 R's and an enclosed trailer. That deal was 4500 at the time and everyone thought it was great.

Sold two, kept one and the trailer and ended up buying one of them back, if the third was offered back to me I would snag it as well (A friend bought it and never rides it).
Buy them, clean them up and make one good one for yourself and sell the others and you come out ahead.

The middle one, 1986 is available - FYI...I just ordered a new headlight shroud as the one that came with was cracked. This one now has the DG Rear Aluminum Grab Bar and exhaust/silencer setup.
The only 'issue' with it that I have seen is the front of the case was cracked when the prior owner hit a large rock and pushed the mounting location back towards the engine case causing the crack. This was professionally, aluminum welded. There are no leaks and no performance issues - in fact, the repaired area is now beefier than stock...so, I purchased it with confidence and it runs as it should.
This unit also has the aftermarket handlebar and twist throttle setup.
Also, I have a set of fork boots that are original and without cracks that will come with - the ones that it came with were very brittle.
I rode it last night after I picked it up and it ran very well - they don't go well in medium to deep snow though! Too much torque!
Regards,
Karl
