Chinese CDI swap 250es Big Red

I know it's been done and I found a thread on here a while back ago about doing it and I can not find it now. I ordered a chinese CDI off amazon and I need the proper wiring setup. Can anyone help me? I am going to convert my bike plug to the chinese 4x2 plug, I just need to know the proper order if anyone can help me with it.

look up the new cdi boxes pinout diagram on google, then find the 250 big reds cdi pinout and cross match the wires and your done
does your Chinese cdi look like this?


If so this is its pinout now find the big reds and connect your wires, hope this helps

Yes that helps tremendously. Had a hard time finding the chinese cdi wire diagram. Finding the Big Reds will be easy. Thank you very much.

This is the cdi I bought. There was an older thread on here that recommended this one. Some of the reviews on amazon said they used it on their Honda 3 wheelers and it worked great. For $8 and free shipping it's worth a shot.

Ok so I guess finding the Honda cdi pinout diagram is not as easy as I thought. Does anyone with a Clymer manual mind snapping a photo or if anyone has made a pic like the one above I would be greatful. Mine is a 1985 250es.

Wiring as follows cdi to harness
Yellow-black w/yellow tracer
Red-black w/red tracer
Black-black w/white tracer
Blue- blue w/yellow tracer
Green- green w/red tracer
Green- green

I can't get a good enough picture to post but for anyone else wanting to do this swap that is what wires go to what.
