    BW 200 front hub in a 225DX?

I have a nice 225DX I'm fixing up. I scored some new polished 4x110 rims and hubs for it on the cheap recently. Problem is I can't find a 3x100, 8x8 front rim for it anywhere. So I was thinking maybe I could switch out the front hub to one from a BW 200? I'd have to go with a skinnier front wheel and tire but I'm ok with that.

Anyone ever tired it? I did a search but came up empty.

I've thought about doing the same thing so I would have 4 lug front and rear since my dx225 has a timberwolf swingarm with 4 lug wheels

Depending on how many parts you want to buy, the entire BW200 front end will fit the DX, triples and all.

I'm thinking the BW front end is basically the same as the DX. Everything looks pretty much the same.

The BW has larger, longer-travel forks as well as a 25x8x12 wheel instead of the 22x11x8 that the DX has. The best bang for the buck is to run a Tri-Z front end; it has bigger forks yet, along with hydro disc brakes.

I know about the longer travel and difference in the wheel size. I'm saying the front hub & axle look to be the same. Even the brake drum looks to bolt on the same so all you would need is the hub. This would only cost $20-$30.

A Tri Z front end isn't exactly bolt on as I understand and would cost closer to $200+.

What about putting. A 25x8x12 on there. Comes from the trizs. Wouldn't have the brakes but prob would go on pretty easy.

Skinnier tire will make it turn better. Just less floatation
