Anyone have pics or have put a cr tank on 250r?

As title stated. Looking to see if anyone has put cr style gas tank on there atc 250r. I saw a pic of a atc500 with a 85-87 style cr500 tank and it looked great but I believe it was painted to match because all I can find for those years are orange/red gat tanks for cr's. I am wanting to put a cr style tank on my cr250/atc250r project I have to kinda change it up.

Most builds using CR tanks where built on CR frames. I'm a little confused about what your asking, you want to put a CR tank on a atc frame?

Yeah, what Louis said. Usually when you see a trike with a bike tank on it that's because the trike was probably built from a bike. Normally people don't put bike tanks on trikes.

The '88-89 CR's were red, and an almost perfect color match to the plastic on the '85-86 ATC's. I agree with Louis & Fab though. All of the 3-wheelers with dirt bike gas tanks, that I've seen, were dirt bikes converted into 3-wheelers. Post up pics if you do it though.

Well the reason I ask is because I have a 83 cr250r converted to a three wheeler. It came with a 85-86 ATC 250r tank on it, it bolted right on. I was thinking of trying for a different look, so was wondering if anyone had bolted a CR tank on their 85-86, as the 250r tank bolted directly on the CR250 chassis. Just wanted to see some pics.

Would love to see pictures of this bike. Sounds very interesting.

I once saw a 1990-91 Honda CR250 tank on a 250R. I can't find the pic and don't know if it was mounted properly or if it used the CR radiators.

The problem with most CR tanks are they are very narrow compared to the ATC seat width any the newer stuff is very narrow & low-boy.

Many CR500's converted to trikes use a desert tank because they are wider and line up better with the seat width & hold more fuel (Stock CR tanks don't hold much fuel)
