    Very nice. That must be the one from the kawasaki museum?
    Looking for a Bassani silencer for a 2nd gen tecate, the style with the movable mount. 1st gen will work

    I'm pretty sure they are photos from back in the day taken by Kawasaki for advertising purposes.

    It is an 87. You can tell by the decals, painted rims, parking brake, and key ignition. Very cool.

    Wow...the rims were painted in '87 huh? Never knew that!! Why would they do this? Reduced production costs?

    They redesigned the 85/86 rim, I assume to make it stronger. The 87 rim has a rolled lip and a welded center, which you can see in one of the pictures. It's the same rim they used on the T-4. Painting may have saved on production costs.

    I know the article says those are archived pictures but I don't believe it. They couldn't even get the year right. I think that 87 is the same one in the Kawasaki HQ. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...ight=87+tecate
