    200hx refresh/rebuild

    Hey 3ww,
    Well, your probably wondering what I mean by 200HX, well, that's my Hybrid X. Its a 85' X with a 86-87 engine.
There's a lot of things I didn't like about the PO's conversion, some needed to be addressed worse than others, but I figured during spring break, I'll try and takle the issues and repaint the machine. Clean everything up, organize the wiring harness, and so on before the summer so I can have a nice sporty little rider.
I do plan on giving the overall appearance and classic racing style, so if anybody has any ideas post em' up.
    Thanks,

Man talk about a tight fit. Looks like the neck reinforcement was removed. If you strip it to the frame for restoration I would weld some gussets to increase the structural integrity some before painting. Were all of the motor mounts used? Looks like a cool build. First time I have ever seen that conversion.

I was almost do laying the red and getting ready for clear coat when a quote from one of my ag. Teachers. We were talking awhile back and he told me "I build it for myself, not other people." And I realized last night, It would look good, but I wouldn't be happy. Long story short, I now have it in the weld shop redoing welds and bracing and then I'll have it sandblasted and I'll paint it with Automotive grade paint. I also have a Light Frame to mount the Hella 500's on on it's way from wild200x over on 3wheeler.org. I also have a front fender brace, fork boots, and rear axle bearings here and more stuff on the way.

Next order of business, Paint theme? I was thinking bout a mini 250R. So red tank, red plastics, red tank, gold swingarm, gold rims and so on.

I believe to make it a little more different, I'm going to turn the factory fenders into low pro fenders, Just don't know how to join them back together strongly but appealing also.
