    my 86r leave it original or restore. what would u do?

    i have a nice 86r its pretty much all original and in great shape. i have been back and forth on doing some upgrades/restore. but dont know what to do.right now its all stock. what would u do?

    I wouldn't touch one if it looked like that, but I have NEVER found one looking like that. Keep it cleaned and lubed
    and enjoy. When something breaks then I'd do the upgrades.

    Looking at it again....maybe some new tires.

    Its worth way more looking like that. Save that one...it will go up in value. Find another one to add aftermarket stuff to. But that's just me.

    ya im going to keep it the way it is. i wanted to do a pipe and a few things but i dont have the heart to change anything on it.hopefully i can pick another one up this summer so i can make a nasty r.

    You didn't build that blue one from parts bought from a guy in my area did you? He had amassed a complete R in parts for a blue/silver build.. I would buy your stock R Tuesday,and you could go buy one to ride...

    maybe some off the blue and white bike came from guy in phillipsburg pa he started the project and i ended up finishing it.

    the 86 r is defenitly staying original now. i ended up picking up a descent 83 r so now i have something i can tinker with.

    That's great man. Ive done the same thing with my my bikes. I am leaving my 86 125m in original condition because it is so nice. and I have a 200m and going to pick up a 200x tomorrow and they are going to keep me busy.
