Im helping a friend with his 350x and was wondering if a rear caliper from a trx400ex or 300ex would work on a 1985 atc350x. The caliper body looks the same, just the mounting plates look different. Has anyone tried this?

Not that you want to go this route but I put a front caliper off a Yami TTR125 on the back of my buddie's gaggas quad. had to make a new mounting plate out of some plate aluminum but that took 20 minutes and voila, brakes were restored!

They may be compatible. If you use the search button you will find your answer. You want cheapest way? Cr80 front is a direct bolt on.

Cr 80= easy. Works on 200x also. Plus eliminates parking brake also

What year cr80 caliper? Found one I'm about to buy that says 96-07 front. Will that work for my 86 350x?

81-84 250r front caliper will work with 350x mount plate
82-84 250R rear caliper will work with 350x mount plate
83-87 200x front or rear caliper will work with 350x mount plate
might save you from buying a caliper if you have one of these laying around...

I need a rear caliper for my 350x, not a front, and that one still needs rebuilt anyhow. Just need to know what year cr80 fits the rear.

the front will fit the rear, theyre interchangeable... thats what im saying. you'll lose the parking brake, but most dont work anymore anyway. if it needs rebuild, it needs rebuild. cant get around that one.
if you go with CR80, you'll lose the parking brake as well because you can only use the front CR80 caliper. rear is two piston and wont work on your 350x. cr80 front calipers are the SAME as any of the above listed front atc calipers.

So the front 200x caliper will fit the rear on my 350x? Are there any other cheap options like the cr80 swap also for the front by chance? I happened to ruin my front caliper this weekend when it fell of my shelf....
