I took the housing off the bike to replace the thermostat. After removing the 2 screw bolts, the two parts don't want to separate after years of use. What is the best way to separate the two pieces without damaging it or breaking it?
Thanks

Get a razor blade, place it on the seam between the parts that need separating, and lightly tap the razor on the back with aor mallet. I haven't taken mine apart in a while but I don't see a reason why it should resist too much. I use this technique when I don't want to mare the mating surfaces.
replace it with a t-stat eliminator from the 3ww shop.
