    XR200 Carb Jetting For 200x

I got a XR200 carb and intake manifold for my 200x

I'm wondering if anyone else is running this on their 200 and what their jetting specs are so I can start buying any jets I may need as I try to get this tuned in.

I'm going to be running a stock bottom end and (hopefully) a custom cam, piston , head with large valves and HD spring from Mickey Dunlap

    Also, a DG full exhaust

    Any input/advice would be appreciated

    Thanks in advance

I'm assuming you're going about this in stages? Carb first, then buy the other components? I'll check my carb this evening.

I'd think that MD could get you close since you are largely going to buy his products. see what he'll recommend. IMHO

It's all going together at once

I asked him about the XR200 carb but he said he'd never tried it before, which is why i posted here.

I'll see if I wrote my jets down somewhere, Id rather not pull the carb if I don't have too.

I'm running an 84 200S with a Wiseco 10.25:1 piston, XR200 cam, intake manifold, and carb and lightly massaged (cleaned up the casting imperfections in the intake and exhaust, polished the exhaust and matched up the ports and manifolds.

Run a 40 pilot, idle screw out 1-3/4 and needle in 3rd from top. Start with a 120 main and work your way down from there. 118, 115, etc.

I would start stock and start it and see what happens.

I think you will find the stock main jet in the XR carb will be 138. If you are doing all those mods at once I'd try it like it is. The XR manifold is the wrong angle and you will have to port your stock one to suit the carb.
