    Road registering in the UK

    Hi guys
I am trying to register my ATC125M it is a 1985 model but DVLA UK need me to provide a dating certificate and a letter of conformity. Any idea how and where I can get hold of this type of info.
I only need to register it to cross a road from one field to another as I use it to move bales of hay for my horses. Got stoped by my local police officer crossing the road and told if I don't get it road legal I will be nicked.

Boy that stinks, can't even haul a bale to your horses! In the US that kind of nonsense sometimes happens with a new greenhorn deputy or someone, but we just make sure he gets put in his place right away. Is there such a thing as a replacement title in the UK, that you can file for, such as when lost or mutilated? There has to be some process I would think--Beauracrats!

Is there such as thing as a Sheriff that you could talk to and get him to leave you alone?

A dating cert ect used to be something you'd have to get from Honda UK but I don't know if they will still do it. You will also need a NOVA declaration to prove VAT was paid on import otherwise you will be asked to pay the VAT on it's original value when imported before a NOVA cert will be issued.
Please let us know how you get on.

Been thinking about this for some time and I reckon the easiest way is to register it as a modified bike
