To buy or not to buy?

85 200x Runs perfect, aftermarket exhaust, tires good, wife rolls here eyes at four of em' already in garage and says "do what you want". He won't go lower than $800. I have 125m, 200s, (2) 250 sx's. The 87 250sx will be sold soon, and would like to keep 4 solid runners for me and friends, but not ready for 250r/350x fast. Good deal here? LUCKY to live in so cal, decent trikes easy to find.

I think is well worth it. That is a very nice looking bike. I mean $500 will get you a rusty p.o.s. that needs all kind of stuff. $800 is a good price in my opinion.

I think if you stop at a florist's shop on the way home from picking it up and explain to your spouse that it came with a bouquet of flowers, it would be an easier purchase.

I agree great deal. Machines like that in MI are $1000 (and sell really fast) to around $1800. I bought a smoker and a parts machine for $500 and felt it was a good deal, but $800 for that kind of shape would have been way better.

The 1st gen X is a great machine (I've had 2 in recent years) but if you're loaning them out to friends the e-start SXs might be better to hold on too?

Just looking at the pictures, $800 seems on the high end of fair. Although prices in CA are usually lower than in TX.

Thanks for the push to buy that one guys. Here's a pic on Sunday getting ready for a ride. That 200x kicks butt! I now love the 250 sx as well, like a cadillac. Just getting to know different characteristics of these things. The 200s was my favorite, but sadly no longer since learning you can really scoot with suspension! I will break the 125m at 235 lbs if I keep riding it the way I did. The aftermarket exhaust on the 200x sure makes it fun slapping the throttle. Gonna try a front max k284 on the front as well on the 250sx. Probably go twist throttle on the 200x, because it feels dirt bike like. Also planning to keep the 87 250sx and make it my personal ride, Since I now realize how awesome the 85 is, the 87 needs to be ridden! I'lI spill the beans, I paid $525 for the 87 250sx from og owner, it hit $1550 on ebay, but I put a high reserve, I'm glad it didn't go!

Very few 87 sx models survived. Less than 4,000?
I got guilt tripped into selling one and been looking to replace it for at least 2 years
    with no luck.
