I own a 87 and a 84 Tecate 250. I know that the 84 came stock with a Mikuni VM32 carb and the 87 came stock with a Mikuni VM34 carb. The 84 Tecate has a few mods. When I have both carbs side by side should I be able to tell a difference? The carbs look the exact same size. Both carb openings are the same size. Does that mean that the carbs are the same size?

This is Crazy I was wondering the same thing. My 85 Came with 3 spare carbs. I was just messign with them, They also appear to be the EXACT saem as the 87 carb for my bike.
