    Bead lock wheels

I had one of my old teammates send me some pics this weekend from the 1985 Miami Race and noticed in one of the pics that I had 10 in bead lock wheels with Hoosier Tri Tracks. We opted for the bead locks because the racing was getting more aggressive and flats were happening from getting smacked in the sidewall and getting flat tires. This tire was a great tire for a lot of different tracks/surfaces. Plus I believe it came in 3 compounds. Click image for larger version.

Cool picture, those tires were very popular for racing, the soft compound felt like a gummy bear.

Yes, the tri-trac tires is what I raced on most of the time in 85.
They slid out in the turns nice and easy but still had good forward traction.
I had the front Hoosier tire also, although I think I only bought that to look like Jimmy White!
