    after market carb

    I just installed a after market carb on my 84 200 es--it's a good fit and is identical to the old one.
    the problem is I cannot get it to idle--it starts fine but will not idle--it starts at almost full throttle.
    I tried to adjust the idle screw with no change- where did I go wrong.

    you have the throttle slide in backwards. unscrew the throttle out of the top of the carb and put the slide in the other way.
