my 86 250r has a twist throttle that im not a fan of. I was looking on ebay and 250r thumb throttles are going for 50 bucks. I rather stick money into the motor. I have a few 200x throttles laying around but have heard they dont have enough pull. Could i mod it to work? what about a newer throttle off of a 400ex 450r or somthing like that that is cheaper and plentiful.

400ex and 450r throttle work just fine, just take the cover off and grind the stop back and you will have all the pull you need. I have a trx450r throttle on my R, work great and smoother.
