I guess it all depends how much time and money you want to spend to get it up and running, or hold out for one thats already in working order and pay a bit more up front. How bad is the crack on the case?

It's hard to tell without pictures. I would assume it's pretty run down, 100 might be to much to spend. Good luck

It's one of the age old questions, do you want to save one or just have one? Saving one is noble and $100 sounds fine if it has a title or anything going for it. If your aim is just to have one for fun I'd hold out for a runner with title and registration. It'll cost less than a bike that needs the works. Add it up and you'll see what I mean.

    Good luck either way.

    i bought an 84 200es for 75
put a new carb a new cdi and it runs great
since i have also put on a different rear rack as mine was all cracked and broken. i have about 200 in it with everything and the plastics are decent and the seat has 1 small hole about the size of an eraser.

    i also bought a 85 250es for 400
had to rebuild the carb and get a new petcock and a rear brake cable.
but it runs great as well.

you are probably going to have close to 400 in it by the time you get it running unless you get a parts machine cheap.

there is a guy on here that got 2 200x and a 350x for 850
cleaned the carbs and they all ran.

i would say hold out for a running one.
