I guess im the new suzuki alt guy, got all 3 and cut my lt160 in half to make a trike

Daughters full suspension alt 50 turned out great! she just turned 2, and i cant keep her off of it, first thing she says when she wakes up is (i wan ride trike!)
bought a alt 125 and 185, been riding the 125 alot! its no honda! a honda is much better imo... but this thing is fun!! i thought i was a pro trike rider until i started riding it, man will it test your skills, fun though!!
it idles great and runs good but bogs right off idle? i replace the pilot jet w a new one, no success???

also heres my next big build, i cut this great running lt 160 in half, it will have a 200x front frame, front end and rear shock. ill take the head off, port it and the carb, take airbox lid off, rejet and shave the head, cut the baffle out as there is NO mods available at all for it, its pretty fast as a quad tho for a small motor.

I wouldn't deck the head on the 160. Do you have the motor torn down? If you can post the pin top to deck of the piston, I may know a big bore (200ish cc) piston.
You're right, with the LT160 being kinda a redheaded step child of the family there's not much in the way of mods, but there are some. Cams are readily interchangeable, the LT230S/250S cams are a hot swap for most, I like the dirt only DR200 (85-87) cam best myself for a stocker. The head itself IS a big bottleneck, but the valves are different from others in the family (See chart below). I tried a LT160 head on a LT185 kitted DR125 a few years ago, and lost about 1500 rpm off the top end compared to either an early DR100 head or a DR125 head.

I've been trying to get my hands on a LT160 engine for a few years now to hack into my wife's china quad, I missed a good parts one a few months back. I also think I forgot to click send on a PM regarding the LT160 before from you!

i posted a bunch of pics of the little alt a while back... im actually willing to trade it for a stock non suspended one as this one is larger than a stock one and my daughter is so small if anyones interested. its a really sweet little trike, z 50 front end, custom kit from 80s on rear, crf plastics, z50 seat, motor seems stock w larger carb and uni filter. its fairly fast even w me on it
as for the lt ill pm ya toaster, your a big help all around! the lt motor has alot of ponies for its cc size as is but any mods will help tote my @ss around!!Click image for larger version.
