I believe you have to cut off the 185s neck and weld the 200X neck on. A lot of work, I don't think it's worth it either. Just go buy a 200X. But that's my personal opinion.

    I can't believe I missed this either!

Is there a thread or pics on how it was made? It would be awesome to put a different suspension on the front of my 200S

I think you can use any of the sport model atc triples on a 200s. Its just the round light 185s and 110 models that have a different neck. All of the '84 and newer model utility trikes have a similar neck as do the 200x 350x 250r and 250sx. I may be a little off on my assumptions but a 200s front fit on my 85 125m. I have been able to swap quite a few different front between many of my atcs. The stems are different lengths but you can use 1" washer as a spacer.

If your utilty atc is 1984 and older ! they have the small diameter stem ! the 200x,250r 1st gen / 250Sx, 2nd gen r, are the same group stem! the '86-'87 200x,'85-'87 250r, 350x are in the same group of stem! the Diameter of these stems are the same!!
the seating base of the stems are different !!!!! Ol Deuce

I cut the stem off keeping the stops attached then welded a 1.5 in chunk of round stock on the bottom of the stem then chucked it up in a lathe and turned it down to fit the lower triple on an early rClick image for larger version.
