New guy needs help- 1985 250es

HI, all
As a long time trike fan but new owner I need some help. In the course of my job I found a complete but sad 1985 250es Big Red died behind a shed. The own was going to junk her and was convinced to let me take her home. A few questions I have:
1: I am unable to find an owners manual/ repair guide online does anyone have a PDF they can send me?
2. It needs a stator and maybe some other wiring work. Where can I find printable drawings of the wiring system?
3. What is a good price for a used stator and is ebay my best bet?
4. Any other help would be great

I have worked on dirt bikes, quads and trucks for years. Just put a 1993 f150 back together from parts in a rednecks field. Just know nothing about Hondas. I am very happy to have a trike at long last as I love my uncles Big Red.

The wiring diagram is in the manual. What are the symptoms that steer you toward the stator? Post some pics of the old whooptie!!
