Okay, so I have a ytm 175. So, when I have it started and when I put it in first gear to pull out it stalls. But, when I push it then put it in gear while it is moving it will run and go. But, it won't stop. It'll keep rolling then when I stop fully it stalls. What could it be?

does it stall as soon as you put it in gear?
does it try to move forward when you put it in gear if it is idling?
does it idle high?
has i ever run properly?
how oil is the gas?

if you push the throttle 1/4 way in neutral then slowly release it, does the rpm come back down to idle or does it stay high?
in other words, does it keep rolling because the throttle is sticking part way open?

No, it idles fine. The gas is new. Yes, it stalls as soon as I put it in gear. My local shop says its clutch plates.

No, when I push the throttle it comes back down to an idle. It will idle fine in neutral. But, once I push then put it in first gear it'll keep moving and run but, once i try to stop in first gear it'll stall. But, if im in gear and moving then put it in neutral then stop it'll stay running.
