    New to us Tri Zinger

I picked up this Tri Zinger off craigslist a few weeks ago, I think I did pretty good. Starts first pull overtime & is loads of fun. I do have a few questions, I'll change transmission fluid later this week, I've got some Bel Ray Gear Saver 75w that I ran in my YT125, is it good for this Zinger too? Also, when I got it I had intended on changing all the fluids, but I'm starting to dread taking the rear off to look at the grease inside. The manual says to service the rear every 2 years, what do the experts think? Is there a better solution than packing it full of the grease, would an axle gear oil work better? I've searched around, but can't really find a clear answer. Last question, is there an aftermarket exhaust out there that doesn't stick out so far past the plastic fender or grab bar? I like the wheelies when the kid isn't looking but don't want to ding a new DG when I get over-zealous. Thanks!

That is the machine my cousins and I learned to ride on. Can't even tell you how many times my uncle had to straighten the rear axle from us jumping over too many logs! Oh the memories! Hope he enjoys it. I will need to find one of those for my 2 year old son in the next few years.

Cool machine. Just picked one up for my kids. Waited till I got some riding gear Before I would let them ride on it. Lots of power on those little wips. Nice find

I'm pretty sure you want to run .8 quarts (point eight) of 10w30. As far a changing the rear grease you have to take it off to do it unfortunately. I really wouldn't stress it. I'm sure 90% of all zingers probably never had it regressed ever since day one even with 200+ pound adults riding them. If you find an aftermarket exhaust let me know because I can't find one. I have a zinger with some aluminum aftermarket exhaust on it but theres no logo or brand on it that i noticed but it wouldn't work if you still have the stock header pipe anyway. But you can take the header pipe off and remove the restrictor plate and replace the gasket or use RTV sealant from auto part store. I've even used it on 250's and it works good.

Great picture and a nice looking Zinger. I have one that I bought over 10 years ago....Both of my boys learned how to ride on it. They rode the heck out of it too. I planned on restoring it and putting it in the basement someday. I have been collecting NOS parts over the years and I'm getting the itch to do it. By the way, don't worry about greasing it....just change the fluid. These things are bullet proof!
