OK, there are a few choices to match it . . one is for them to use a digital camera in which case they need a flat area maybe 2" in diameter that has near perfect color . . another way is to simply look thru existing paint chops for different cars and use one of those . . you can actually look at different cars on the road and find a color yourself that might be close then just tell them what car it was and you can find the colot . . they can also match a paint chip up then tint it to be even closer but they need a big area to look at to get it pretty close . . they can also mix it from scratch but everything other than the camera or using a stock color will cost at least $20.00 extra . . even the wherein Williams might be over $25.00 a pint these days and nif you need clear coat its another $25.00 or do plus the hardner's and reducers etc.

Also, sherwin Williams is crap paint . . the best paints are ppg and glassurit but they cost more but you need less because they have more solids therefore they cover better so you use less paint.

The best type to use is solvent base, not the water base junk they have but its hard to find in some places . . as of a few years ago you could still buy solvent base and real lacquer from arizone but they can't ship it so you would need to find someone that could ship it.

The spray can paints are crap because they are not catalyzed but if you don't ride it then it doesn't matter . . you can go over the single stage with verathane semi gloss or gloss spray can from home depot if you want.

There are several nice looking spray can silvers also. . . I painted my 74 Adolph wiel 400 maico with avspray can dilver because i was racing it in the vintage pro class so i knew it would get scratched ip and it looked killer.
