    Powroll

So i had a few hiccups with my 200x motor and needed some new rings for my arias piston. Called the Powroll shop number last week and it was returned this morning. I had a great conversation with the new guy running Powroll. His name is Terry Miller and he has machined a lot of the 200x and 350x stroker kits for Powroll. Anyway, he was telling me that he is now offering a 240cc kit for the 200x and has some new 350x stroker kits coming in. This is very good news for the Thumper community! I told him about 3 wheeler world and have high hopes that he will be a member on here in the future. If you are SERIOUS about purchasing a 200x kit (218, 240, etc kit) or 350x from Powroll please PM me and I will give you Terry's personal email. If you are inquiring only, call the shop (number is on their website) and terry will return your call (he is a very busy guy). This is great news for those of us that have Powroll engine components!

Good to know. I've been visiting their website now and then but it didn't look like they had much going on. Just goes to show websites can be deceptive.

Hear you. I asked him about the website. Said he was still working on it and it's close to being finished. Apparently he's a one-man band at this point. Can't believe how hard it is being the only person there and carrying the Powroll name.

Hey Milner, he doesn't own Powroll, he is running it for Pete, the owner. From what I took from our conversation it's just Terry running the shop. If you want to contact him privately send me a PM.

Ok, thanks I don't need anything, just curious. It was a pretty popular shop for along time, now the website is basically down, they don't answer the phone and I don't see any advertising in an era where there are more 4 strokes than ever. Even CT Racing has jumped on the motocross bike bandwagon.

This guy called me back when I was looking at buying Powroll. Later he called again wanting to build me parts, I told him to get a hold of Pete to get them up and going again, so they got together and kept the doors open, but it's not really being run as Powroll, there are some problems there. Terry needs to buy the place and do what he's doing now, making new stuff. That why I didn't buy it, everyone wanted new stuff, not the same old Powroll parts. But, it is good he can still get parts like the rings needed here.

You can get custom piston and rings made if you can’t find them anywhere . . I have had many made by JE Pistons for automotive engines like Ford 427 side oilers and Boss 302’s . . I have had some custom pistons made for motorcycles also.

Arias will also make pistons but they need to order the rings, however, if it is a piston they made before, they should still have the cnc program for it so it might not cost a lot.

I've been using the place below since 1975 for any sleeves I needed, including motorcycle big bore sleeves . . This where the shop I worked at IN 1975 got the sleeve for the XL350 they built into a 500 . . They are one of the biggest sleeve suppliers in the US . . They also do machine work.

Yes thank you, I know all of this, but still much appreciated. Powroll is sacred among some of us and the point of the thread is to let people know it still has a pulse and one helluva guy is running it. That is all.

No prob, you're welcome, it just sounded like he wasn't quite up and running yet and you needed rings, plus I thought it might cost you less to by from the actual mfg's of some of the parts.

I worked in the parts department of Norm Reeves Honda in 1975 and I sold a LOT of Powroll parts . . We even had a Powroll sign in the window, and I have been a fan of theirs since before many people here were even born, so I'm happy to see that the name/company hasn't been abandoned yet.

I feel the same way, I wanted them to make it to 50 years, and they did. Not to many business's can say that any more. I grew up building with their parts and I have been promoting them on face book big time.
