    ATC 90 Tires

It has been discussed here I'm sure, but I need to get new tires on my ATC 90. I like the original balloon style, but I'd like something that would do relatively well in both sand and a little bit of hard pack. Thoughts?

This is my favorite. Closest to stock oem type tire.

22x11x8 kenda k290 scorpions are good. If you go the duro route, get the 4 ply version. 2 ply tires; i have had several issues with them

I run two sets on my US90, but for both sand and hard pack the Duro HF247 are great and look cool IMO. You can get 21x10x8 which work well. Unless you really want knobbies I think you would be very happy with the HF247 tires. I'm getting some for my ATC70 now after running them on the 90 in various surfaces.

For strictly snow or dune riding I use a Duro Top Fighter front and 22x10x8 AMS ZIPPER rear mini paddles, the flotation is excellent. AMS discontinued the Zippers but you can get similar 4SNOW mini paddle tires still. They would however wear fast on hard pack dirt.

Love the duro top fighter front tire. How does it steer with the flat profile? The 21x10-8 is a rear tire but looks great on your 3 wheeler.

Tough to beat good old knobbies for basic riding except for sticky mud; they load up too much. That is one nice looking US90 SS!

Thanks for the compliments, I have not posted a thread about the trike yet but it sure attracted a lot of attention at the sand dunes when I took it there it's year. The Top Fighter works great on sand and snow with lots of flotation. In grass/dirt it has way more steering grip than a smooth buff front tire I tried before. The smooth center rib has not really been noticable or a problem, however the Duro HF247 has even more steering grip in grass and loose dirt surfaces as to be expected. Will have to try the 247 on the front next winter to see how it steers in the snow compared to the Top Fighter tire.

Yes the 21x10x8 is a big front tire but I wanted a similar look as the original balloon tires since it is a US90 trike still (for the most part). LOL

21x10-8 is smaller than the stock tire so it will fit. I may get myself a top fighter 21x10-8 for myself and try it on my 125M.

I actually like the look of the Trike with the Zippers best as they are 22x10x8. So the 21x10x8 front tire was the closest mach tire I found with good floatation possibilities. Plus the custom front suspension made the front end higher than normal so a little smaller tire up front was what I needed.

The Top Fighter is a nice tire that the tread will conform to trail bumps if air pressure is low enough yet the sidewall does not buckle like a wet noodle when stressed. It worked great descending down steep sand dunes giving me confidence with predictable handling up front. I think you will like it, plus it leaves cool tracks on the ground As you ride.
