85 350X Coil Wire and Plug Boot

So I went to pull my plug this morning and my plug cap came off of the wire in my hand. Now I am wondering if I need a new coil (because it doesn't appear to be a separate part # from the coil). Can someone tell me exactly how the plug cap connects to the wire so I will know if I need MORE new parts to get this thing going?

It looks like there is a male connector inside the cap...should there be a female connector inside the wire to accept it? Or does it simply push in and hope for the best? Or did something pull out of my wire and get stuck in the boot?

    As always, thanks in advance.

The cap has a threaded screw that just twists on to the coil wire. It screws directly into the copper wire of the coil lead. Just cut off a little off your coil wire and screw it back on. If its loose still then you probably just need a new cap which can be had at most any auto parts store.
