    Should be ok.
    Looks to me like some enthusiastic porting work

    as far as I know the alloy doesn't provide any strength to the bridge/sleve
    but removing it may have compromised the long term strength of the cylinder casting?

    As long as the piston runs smooth should be good, that's not to say the porting work will suit your setup

    What is it off?
