    Yamaha Ytm still having problems

Hey, so I've posted on here a couple of times already about the issue and I still cannot seem to figure it out. I've had the carb apart countless times and the top end has been apart twice already. The cam chain and tensioners have all been replaced and the clutches have been also replaced, so everything has been apart except the inner case. The carb has a new float needle as recommended by Muthey. For some reason the carb still leaks also. The carb has been completely taken apart, cleaned and looked at. I can't find anything wrong with the carb but I have attached pictures of it to see if something catches your eye. It has a new air filter and the exhaust has been blown out with a pressure washer (whether that was a good thing or not). I replaced the CDI with one I got off of eBay. The whole bottom end is off of my parts machine which was a 84 ytm 200e. So my end result right now is a electric start 200e with a auto decompression regular 200 top end. I have attached a video of it running. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I should also note that I was steadily increasing the throttle

There should be a gasket between carb bowl and carb. Have you checked the fuel cock at all? Grab a carb kit for it Change all the Jets

The gasket between the bowl and the carb I ripped a while ago, so that is new. The fuel cock is new. And I can't seem to find a carb kit specifically for the ytm 200. Any ideas?

I had same problem I ended up taking the jets into my local shop and matching up the jets. I will look and see if I can find the number for the jets you need.

Just an update, I just happen to look in the air box today and there was a decent about gas in the bottom. The carb leakage I figured out is coming out of the overflow. I've been driving it lately and it seems like I can give it about 1/8 of throttle before it falls on its face and starts to stutter. I also just put a new spark plug in it.

You need to adjust your floats. That's a main reason for gas being in the airbox. Likely the same issue for bogging as well. Fix your float height per the manual.

MB9800, this post might help with some info on the jets from the attached file from TheFox. What yaegerb said sounds more like your issue. Too much fuel is a bad thing.

Ya I've been struggling with the float for a while now. I've got it all adjusted to spec. the fuel level is right where the bowl and carb come together, but it leaks out of the overflow after I run it for a while. It has a new float needle and seat.

MB9800, you can use a rebuild kit for a Timberwolf carb, just be sure to use your jets or new ones from a dealership. The ones for a Timberwolf are too large and you can never be sure if the aftermarket jets are the same size even if they have the same number. I ran into this on my 350x. Even though the main jets both said "138", I could see that the one I bought from the dealer was larger using only my eyes. It made a HUGE difference in the way that it ran. It also used to randomly burn out a spark plug. No longer.

If there's fuel in the air box the carb is overflowing into the air box and cause your fresh air to be burnable. So your air fuel mixture is running super rich. How are the floats. Is there a small hole or crack anywhere so they fill up and don't shut the valve. There is always the old replacing the whole carb. Prob snag one off of eBay for a decent price.

I was having a bunch of problems with my 175 Tri Moto too. I broke down and bought one off amazon for like $60. I will let you know how that works for me

Alright so I got the rebuilt can put on that I got from muthey and I still have a spit and sputter in anything over 1/2 throttle. Is really weird because it seems to be fine from idle to 1/2. Now what?
